SB 1072 -- ABANDONED MANUFACTURED HOMES

SPONSOR:  Loudon (Pratt)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Judiciary
by a vote of 12 to 0.

This bill repeals the provisions regarding abandoned manufactured
home repossession.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2007, FY 2008, and
FY 2009.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill repeals the laws that
Missouri courts have previously ruled unconstitutional because of
due process concerns.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Loudon.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
